I've been doing my best to go through my backlog of cosplay photos to upload here in chronological order, but considering that *Risachantag and I just won the Madman National Cosplay Final with our Okami costumes, this one gets to jump the queue. =P

Most of the work in this costume was in engineering a simple way to make the wings to open and shut (pulling down on a couple of drawstrings hanging down the back of my neck did the job) and building my flutesabre, so naturally I'm only too happy to have a photo showing them both off at once.

The truth is it took a little digital retouching to get it looking that good - in daylight the glow's not as obvious, and close up you can see the individual LEDs a little more clearly than we would have liked.

On the other hand, it does flash white when you swing it, it reconfigures into rainbow-disco mode, and it's USB compatible! I may have had a little too much fun with that thing.
