Long time no journal (and only the occasional deviation, I’m sorry to say ), so here’s a brief summary of what I’ve been working on lately.

As for cosplay stuff - being the main point of this account - right now I and my cosplay partners in crime are in the middle of putting together Yu Yu Hakusho costumes for Wai-con at the end of this year. I’ll be doing Hiei - lots to do before that’s finished yet, but it’s coming along fairly well. We were hoping to have another couple of costumes from Tsubasa done as well for this year’s con, but for various reasons (particularly that the OAV which will have all the useful detailed design references won’t be coming out until a couple of months after the con *grumblegrumble*) that’s been put off until later. Saves me a little stress, anyway.

As for other fannish activities, I’m still turning out ungodly quantities of fanfic (mostly xxxHOLiC/Tsubasa and Guilty Gear lately, assorted quantities of slash and gen) and writing for a couple of doujinshi projects (Kingdom Hearts and Naruto, also due out at Wai-con at the end of the year). Since I’ve already brought it up in a couple of places around here, I may as well mention that and a friend have also wound up working on translations for the Guilty Gear manga. We’ve only up got up to chapter four done so far (our current rate is about one new chapter every three weeks) but at least we’re making steady progress. And if all the above hadn’t made this nasty new GG addiction of mine blatant enough, my other new hobby seems to involve combing the web for info on the upcoming GG2: Overture in any language I can understand or even roughly translate. I would say it’s been well worth it though – the more I hear, the better this game sounds. =3

The mountain of assorted cosplay photos which I really should be getting sorted out and uploaded somewhere is, well, still waiting to be sorted and uploaded somewhere, just as soon as I find the time for it. Based on my past record, it’ll probably be put off until after Wai-con (again) – by which stage some of them will probably have been sitting there for up to a couple of years. Maybe I should find someone willing to volunteer to whack me over the head with a large mallet of some kind if they don’t start showing up online around then. >.>
